Your Course

Join Jennifer Cobb for an immersive two-day masterclass at The Waldron, where you’ll delve into the world of doghnut and double walled vessels.

This two-day workshop introduces participants to the playful possibilities of ring forms and double-walled throwing techniques.

Day 1, students will explore throwing ring forms on the wheel, experimenting with variations in scale and proportion using different clay weights, as well as trying out other double-walled vessel shapes.

Day 2, the focus shifts to refinement and assembly: trimming and stabilising rings, throwing necks and bases, and combining elements to construct distinctive doughnut vases.

The course will conclude with opportunities to personalise forms through surface decoration, handbuilt additions, and textural techniques.

By the end of the workshop, participants will have gained confidence in throwing complex hollow forms, learned strategies for scaling and assembling components, and produced their own unique sculptural vases.

Spaces are limited to ensure personalised instruction.
