Your Course

Join me for a half day course exploring textured surface design techniques for your ceramic pieces. This course is perfect for anyone wanting to bring more depth, texture and character to their ceramic pieces.

Throughout the morning we’ll look how to create richly textured surfaces using slips, grog, and expressive mark making. You’ll discover how to layer and manipulate slip for movement and contrast, how various grog and additions can add both visual and tactile interest, and how simple tools can transform a surface through thoughtful marks and impressions.

Expect plenty of live demonstrations, practical guidance, and insider tips you can  take back to your own studio practice. Whether you love subtle texture or bold, sculptural surfaces, this workshop will expand the way you think about clay.
